Quality Assurance (QA) guide for distributed education
RRHEAL has commissioned a Quality Assurance Toolkit for distributed education delivery. The toolkit can be used to self assess or peer review the quality of the educational intervention developed.
The aim is to provide advice and support for quality assuring
education within a remote and rural setting. This allows
teams to assist with quality assurance whilst developing education
as well as assess the impact and effect on their educational
delivery.
When applied by healthcare trainers during design and assessment of
the educational packages, the toolkit will assist the development
of quality education across the differing modes of remote and rural
educational delivery. This package will include:
- a 'How to Use/ Apply' Guide with associated activities
- guidelines on distance mentoring
- guidelines on distance supervision
- and be appropriate for use in the design and evaluation of mixed modes of educational delivery, to include;
- flexible and distributed learning
- work based learning
- small group teaching
- video conferencing
- e-Learning and m-Learning
